Behavioral Medicine and Clinical Psychology at Cincinnati
Children's Hospital Medical Center. We are one of the largest and
most accomplished pediatric psychology divisions in the country
with robust clinical, research, and education programs.JOB
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Project Management- Provide leadership for the overall
direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and
completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with
organizational strategy, commitments and goals. Define project
scope, goals, deliverables and resource requirements. Define and
manage the project budget. Develop project plans, resource
allocation, and timeline. Manage the day-to-day operational aspects
of a project and scope. Direct assigned project team ensuring
effective utilization of resources. Monitor project deliverables
and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders.
- Financial Management- Overall accountability for the financial
management functions for the department. Develop, implement,
evaluate and manage the department's annual and capital budget to
achieve the Divisional and Departmental objectives; establish
internal controls for cash management; implement and maintain a
process for financial controls and external financial audits;
develop and implement accounts receivable management; analyze and
monitor financial performance and report financial results to
stakeholders; evaluate variances, determine underlying causes and
identify, present, and implement proposed solutions; establish and
monitor productivity metrics; ultimate accountability for
compliance with organizational financial policies and
procedures.
- Operations- Direct, establish and monitor business processes to
ensure effective and efficient operations; direct clinical revenue
cycle activities within the Division; design and monitor efficient
patient flow patterns to maximize clinical and staff efficiency;
develop and implement policies and procedures for improved
utilization and operations; identify opportunities for improving
cost through in-depth process and analysis and develop and offer
recommendations to drive significant operational change; resolve
issues directly, or in consultation with leadership concerning
staffing, utilization of facilities, equipment and funds; develop
and interpret policies and procedures for faculty and staff; and
ensure that all policies are in conformance with Medical Center
guidelines.
- Compliance- Sustain a working understanding of regulatory
requirements and accreditation standards. Evaluate area of
responsibility for compliance with regulatory and accreditation
standards. Identify best practices as well as deficiencies to share
with peers and make recommendations for improvement. Participate in
the development of corrective action plans to guide needed and
sustainable improvements. Ensure that compliance and readiness
plans are current. Enhance relationships to promote
interdisciplinary involvement and knowledge of compliance
standards, status, and actions. Track laws, regulations and
standards that may affect practice and policies. Work with direct
reports to ensure that needed changes are made by the effective
date of any change(s) in requirements.
- People Planning- Coach and mentor personnel to enhance
professional knowledge. Make job requirements and goals for each
position clear to employees and provide sufficient training to
achieve the desired level of competency. Oversee succession
planning for key roles. Provide mentorship and development to
direct and indirect reporting staff. Maintain accurate payroll
records.JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 7+ years of work experience in a related job discipline
equivalent combination of education and experiencePREFERRED
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience overseeing Epic scheduling
- Experience with space management and planning
- Experience overseeing call center teams
- Experience overseeing 10+ direct reports, and 35+ indirect
