Job Description:
General ManagerArea of expertise: new replacement repair, water
lines, sewer lines, septic to sewerConstruction company with more
than 50 years in business. The owner of this company began working
for this company very early in his career and purchased the company
about 6 years ago. In that time, he has doubled this business and
is now looking for someone who can step in and help lead the
organization. The right candidate could be offered a partnership or
ownership in the long-term.
GM Role: A new position designed to handle day-to-day operations,
allowing owner to focus on strategic activities.Requirements:
Extensive knowledge and expertise in the construction industry.
College Degree preferred or 5+ years of experience in
construction.Responsibilities:o Managing crew schedules and
dispatchingo Overall employee management and engagement (23 crew
employees, 2 office admins)o Operations management, including
safety, project budgets, and equipment monitoringo Assisting with
project estimation as neededo Hiring and discipling of employeeso
Budget control including payroll, purchasing materials, etc.o
Building and maintaining client relationships with both existing
and new clients as projects are awarded.
