aerospace engineering. UDRIs Sustainment and Readiness sector
performs innovative research & development from TRLs 5-8, including
design and manufacturing repair, advanced manufacturing repair, and
materials characterization. We invite qualified candidates to apply
for the position of Director of Materials & Materials Degradation
Division in our Sustainment & Readiness Sector. The Materials &
Materials Degradation Division has over 90 employees supporting
annual revenues of over $90M. The researchers of this division are
located in Dayton, OH, Warner Robins, GA, and Tinker AFB. The
division research is focused in the areas of corrosion analysis and
mitigation, non-destructive inspection, coatings development and
testing, metallurgy, material properties, and environmental
effects.The Institute has a tradition of research excellence with

Division Director will play a crucial role in securing new business
opportunities and expanding existing testing, characterization and
research programs. They will engage regularly with sponsors and
clients to assess needs, monitor performance, establish long term
relationships and oversee the preparation of portions of major
research proposals.The Director role is a unique opportunity for an
experienced professional to drive impactful research and technical
programs with a dynamic and diverse organization. The successful
candidate will be responsible for leading and managing complex
projects across various technical areas, ensuring that all
initiatives meet compliance standards and are delivered on time and
within budget. This role is essential in shaping the division's
mission, vision, and strategic goals, with a strong emphasis on
promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as upholding
key University policies related to safety and communication.In
addition to technical and business acumen, this role demands strong
leadership capabilities, including mentoring division leadership
and fostering collaboration within and across divisions and
sectors. The Division Director will be responsible for the overall
operations (including profit/loss) ensuring that the division is
being run effectively, efficiently, and above required margin. The
