• Department: Labor and Delivery
• Shift Timings: 7:00-19:00 Hours (Monday to friday) Roles & Responsibilities
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Minimum Qualifications
    • We have 8 Labor and Delivery Rooms
    • 3 triage rooms
    • 2 Operating Room suites where the primary nurse is responsible to circulate the Cesarean Sections.
    • We have 4 High Risk Suites and 24 Postpartum Suites.
    • In addition to this we have 9 private NICU rooms.
    • We use Centricity (CPN) for charting fetal monitor strips and all care and assessments on the mom, and Sunrise (SCM) for all orders, labs, and barcode scanning.
    • We use Voalte phones to communicate with the physicians and other team members. QUALIFICATIONS
      • BLS and ACLS
      • National Institutes of Health (NIH)
      • Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification
      • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
      • The ability to stand for extended periods.
      • Strong technical skills.
      • Knowledge of medical terminology
      • Passionate about patient care
      • Requires a minimum of two years of RN Labor & Delivery experience.
      • Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
      • Active unencumbered RN Indiana state license
      • One year of Epic experience
      • NRP Certification
      • Fetal monitoring Certification and experience Requirements
        • COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster. SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
          • Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
          • Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
          • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
          • Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
          • A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
          • Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
