The Indianapolis plant currently has an opening for a Senior Maintenance Manager. The ideal candidate will be able to manage the execution of preventative and corrective maintenance, track progress of work orders and analyze the budget. This individual will oversee the diagnosis of problems, ensure maintenance of production equipment, implement inspection and maintenance processes, and new development/technology in maintenance.

This position reports directly to the Director, Operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) in order to maximize equipment reliability, and minimize unplanned equipment downtime.
  • Lead the sitewide implementation of predictive machine monitoring maintenance
  • Manage Maintenance supervisors, technicians and contractors for equipment and maintenance and capital projects.
  • Manage the repair & maintenance budget and develop cost reduction / energy savings strategies.
  • Lead the expense control process for supplies & tools for the factory.
  • Develop costs and schedules related to projects, including equipment, materials and labor.
  • Lead the operations of the computerized maintenance management system in planning, scheduling, tracking and reporting of maintenance activities.
  • Develop capabilities of maintenance team members through training, coaching and establishing high standards and ensuring accountability.
  • Determine the preventive maintenance requirements for existing and new equipment and ensure training of equipment operators to perform routine maintenance.
  • Serve as technical resource regarding factory equipment and machinery.
  • Contribute to cross-functional continuous improvement activities for safety, health & environmental protection, on-time delivery, production efficiency and scrap reduction.
  • Supporting regulatory compliance audits for the factory

    Basic Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree.
    • 7+ years experience in operations or technical engineering.
    • 2+ years experience in managing maintenance in the manufacturing environment.

      Preferred Qualifications (nice to have)
      • 2+ years of experience within unionized manufacturing environment.
      • Experience with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) process and tools.
      • Experience with Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) implementation and reporting.
      • Proven experience in the implementation and operations of a computerized maintenance management system.
      • Working knowledge of Mechanical / Hydraulic Press Equipment and PLC Programming preferred.
      • Strong planning and organizational skills with ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities and assignments.
      • Strong communication skills with ability to interact within a cross functional team.
      • Analytical with excellent problem-solving skills and demonstrate continuous improvement mindset.
      • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel) and working knowledge of AutoCAD drafting
