Due to growth, Hays + Sons , an industry leader and provider of world class restoration services, is searching for a Carpenter to join their team in the Lafayette IN area.

If you have Carpenter experience, general roofing knowledge, tolerance of heights (steep roof temporary repairs), basic framing experience, and a valid driver's license, then Hays & Sons wants to hear from you! Experience in the restoration industry is a plus!

  • Preform temporary repair process as designated in operational procedures.
  • Complete warranty process as designated in operational procedures.
  • Demo and frame structures.
  • Ensure jobsites always remain neat and orderly while following OSHA guidelines for safety.
  • Install cabinets and interior trim.
  • Set and trim doors and windows.
  • Preform painting, drywall repair, and texture matching.
  • Procure photos of all jobs assigned.
  • Keeps inventory of all tools housed in carpenter's vehicle
  • Respond to emergency work in timely manner
  • Assist project manager when necessary
  • Participate in weekly on call rotation
  • Accurately post time to all jobs for accurate labor cost
  • Aid water department for demo jobs
  • Maintain company vehicle cleanliness and organization (tools, equipment, etc.)
  • Comply with DOT regulations when operating a qualifying vehicle.
